Warranty

Every pair of SightPhones comes with a one-year limited manufacturer's warranty. This page explains what it covers, what it doesn't, and how to make a claim. It's in addition to your legal rights, which it doesn't affect.

What's covered

Your SightPhones are covered against hardware defects and technical failures that arise from normal use for one year from the date your order is delivered. The warranty is provided by the manufacturer through the brand's official service network, and SightPhones will help you make a claim.

If a covered fault is confirmed, the item will be repaired or replaced (see Remedy below) at no charge for parts or labour.

What's not covered

The warranty does not cover:

  • accidental damage, drops, crushing, or cracked lenses or screens;
  • liquid damage beyond the product's stated IP53 splash rating;
  • misuse, neglect, or use outside the product's intended purpose or instructions;
  • damage from repairs, modifications, or parts not authorised by the manufacturer;
  • normal cosmetic wear (scuffs, scratches, fading) that doesn't affect function;
  • gradual, normal reduction in battery capacity over time;
  • loss, theft, or items where the serial number has been removed or altered;
  • prescription lenses, and third-party or non-supplied accessories.

Faults caused by any of the above may still be repairable as a paid service — just ask.

Remedy

Where a claim is valid, the manufacturer's service network will, at its discretion, repair the item or replace it with the same or an equivalent model if the original is no longer available. Repair or replacement is the complete remedy under this warranty. A repair or replacement doesn't extend or restart the one-year period, which continues to run from your original delivery date.

How to make a claim

  1. Email support@sightphones.com with your order number, a description of the fault, and — where you can — a photo or short video showing it.
  2. We'll confirm whether it's a warranty matter and, if so, walk you through the next steps with the service network. Please keep your proof of purchase.
  3. You may be asked to send the item in for inspection. When a covered fault is confirmed, we cover the cost of returning the repaired or replaced unit to you. If, after inspection, no covered fault is found (for example, the damage is accidental), we'll let you know before doing anything and may ask you to cover return shipping or the cost of a repair.

We aim to keep you updated at each stage and turn claims around as quickly as the service network allows.

How this relates to returns and your legal rights

This warranty is separate from our returns & refunds policy, which covers change-of-mind returns and faulty items in the first 30 days.

Importantly, this warranty is in addition to your statutory rights and does not replace or limit them. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be of satisfactory quality, as described, and fit for purpose, and your rights against the retailer can last longer than one year. Nothing in this warranty affects those rights.
